2016 was a year in which various changes took place in the world. In particular, the election of President Trump and the decision by the UK to leave the EU bore the significance of drastic change to the world order. Namely, the common recognition that globalism is the road to happiness for humanity worldwide has greatly reversed, or perhaps changed into a movement to deny the concept, in nations that had been leaders of globalism, the US and the UK. It is also vividly illustrative of the dilemma occurring in developed nations.
In regard to global warming countermeasures, the Paris Agreement entered into force on November 4 last year, and Japan has also come to ratify it after a short delay.
The Fujisaki Group considers global warming to be the greatest threat to humanity, and we are developing our business with a focus on natural-resource energy. In Japan, the environment surrounding natural-resource energy is a situation that can hardly be described as improving, contrary to the enactment of the Paris Agreement. However, when viewed from a global perspective, the world is definitely moving rapidly in the direction of improvement, and at the Fujisaki Group, we feel that the arena of our major activities is expanding worldwide.
Globalism is an important issue that must be resolved together with measures to prevent global warming.
As a “glocal” (global + local) company, we look towards our ideal in which the day will come when the whole world will reach mutual understanding without discrimination, and moreover, in order to leave behind a magnificent global environment for the children of 100 years from now, we will continue in 2017 to demonstrate creativity and challenging spirit, and to provide total engineering services.
